Strategy

- The main strategy of Kozilek, Premium Gas Only is to cast Kozilek, the Great Distortion as early as possible. In order to do this, the player will need to have/play as many mana rocks as early as possible. This will generally leave the player with approximately one or two cards in hand by the time they cast the commander, thus gaining optimal value from Kozilek, the Great Distortion's cast ability. Once Kozilek resolves, the counterspell ability Kozilek, the Great Distortion has is invaluable. The main thing is to keep cards between 2-6 CMC in your hand at all times once Kozilek is on the battlefield to protect him.

• The deck also has a combo engine in it with all the mana rocks and Paradox Engine. 3-5 mana rocks with engine can quickly generate 20-40 and with Doubling Cube it can easily get to over 100. This mana can be used to cast all the other big eldrazi or pull cards will Planar Bridge.

Notable Omissions

All land that causes me to sac other lands for acceleration. This is mainly to avoiding getting rekt by wasteland effects.

Lands that come in tapped. There are times where I need to draw a land to cast Kozilek on turn 4-6 and draw a tapped land would very counterintuitive.

Metalworker and Mox Diamond aren't in the deck because both are hard to find and quite pricey.
