The deck is primarily U/G with a small red splash for an awesome commander, some creature removal which U/G lacks and a few utility lands. I have tried to choose cards that are effective when cast off of cascade, so there is a lack of counterspells and anything else that is particularly conditional. The deck packs a lot of ramp since casting Maelstrom Wanderer is one of the most powerful things that I can do. The deck is based around doing all of the things that I enjoy most about edh: ramping, gaining card advantage, and grinding out games through creature combat.

Some cool synergies in this deck include:

Exploration + Crucible of Worlds + any fetchland

Survival of the Fittest or Birthing Pod to get Wonder and Genesis into the graveyard ASAP

Sensei's Divining Top to set up some strong cascades

Crystal Shard to recast Maelstrom Wanderer or any of my other ETB creatures

The haste from Maelstrom Wanderer letting Hellkite Tyrant or Balefire Dragon swing right away can be game breaking
