This deck has been a progressive build for a little over a year (maybe longer depending on when you read this) that I started as soon as Kethis was spoiled. It's gone through a lot of changes but I've finally settled on a theme and playstyle that I can get behind. The inspiration came from a slightly more recent deck that I put together, Chulane Value Engine but this time revolving around planeswalkers and some light graveyard synergies instead of creature. We use Kethis' second ability mainly for recursion since our planeswalkers are going to be massive targets on the board. It's possible to run a lot more graveyard synergies but I think that style of play with Kethis is geared more towards creature heavy decks where you can take advantage of cards like Grisly Salvage, Mulch, and Winding Way.

With that out of the way let's dive into the deck. First, while the main theme of the deck isn't our graveyard, we do have a few repeatable sources to stock it up with Old Rutstein and Wrenn and Seven. Additionally, the new Kamigawa legendary lands make for great graveyard fodder for Kethis' second ability. The deck sports a meager amount of single target removal, mainly because most of our removal comes from our walkers. The removal we do have is mainly wraths like: Cleansing Nova, Damn, Kaya's Wrath, and Urza's Ruinous Blast. These wraths are primarily for clearing the board of creatures in order to keep our planeswalkers safe.

The deck also has a single, sneaky, non-walker win condition with Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon. Yes I know it's infect in commander, but.. like... come on he just got reprinted and he's legendary, let me have this. We can buff him with any number of our planeswalkers that boost our creatures like, Ajani Steadfast, Ajani, the Greathearted, Garruk, Unleashed, and Garruk Wildspeaker. As long as we have at least two on the battlefield there's potential for a one-shot. There are a few other Planeswalker synergies when it comes to our manabase, like Liliana of the Dark Realms with Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth as well as Nissa, Who Shakes the World with Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth.

As far as protecting our walkers goes, we have some cards that make it harder or more painful to be attacked, like Baird, Steward of Argive and Oath of Kaya. On the flip side, we also have plenty of token producers that can provide us with chump blocker should the need arise like: Elspeth, Sun's Champion, Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury, Garruk, Cursed Huntsman, Liliana, Death's Majesty, Liliana, Dreadhorde General, and Tevesh Szat, Doom of Fools.
