Kenrith Hulk Dredge

Commander / EDH

A_Draco

Kenrith, the Returned King is so versatile. You can do so much with him, and I have embraced his fifth activation: to pay 5 and recur a creature.

To start, you need dudes in the yard for him to resurrect. As such, I include Anje Falkenrath and the 3 best dredgers in GGT, Stinkweed Imp and Life from the Loam, the latter being crucial to making land drops. Anje can activate by discarding a dredger, then you replace the draw with a dredge.

Now that there are dudes in the yard to reanimate, leave mana open and respond appropriately. Cavalier of Night to kill problem creatures, Wispmare kills enchantments, Ingot Chewer kills artifacts, Acidic Slime can do either of those as well as taking out problem lands. And a great one is Ashen Rider to take anything out.

What if Kenrith goes out of commission? Meren and a nice suite of dudes that sac themselves are included. Vampire Hexmage can kill walkers or take all the counters off a swoll dude. Wispmare and Ingot chewer both evoke for less mana, and Dauntless Escort protects our dudes. And if all else fails, Muldrotha and Karador both let us cast dudes from the yard. And Vivien, Champion of the Wilds allows us to do that at instant speed! And a few Sac outlets are run, Phyrexian Altar for mana, Goblin Bombardment for damage, Viscera Seer to filter our draws.

For additional utility, Reanimate is good in a pinch if we need to get going again. Sun Titan gets smaller dudes or anything 3 mana or less on attack or entry. And to cap off utility, Rhystic Study and Mystic Remora will draw us lots of cards. And to move on to win condition, Birthing Pod will help us get to our Protean Hulk.

The Combo: Sac Hulk; get Karmic Guide plus any one mana dude. Karmic Guide gets Hulk back. Sac hulk again to get Reviellark. Sac third small dude, then Karmic Guide, then Reviellark. Reviellark reanimates Karmic Guide and the other small dude on death, guide reanimates reviellark. Infinite loop. If the third dude is an aristocrat piece, infinite Damage. If the sac outlet is Goblin Bombardment, also infinite damage. If the sac outlet is Phyrexian Altar, infinite Mana to feed into Kenrith for any number of wins. If the outlet is Altar of Dementia, infinite mill.

The first big change will be to upgrade the mana base.
