Step 1: RAMP!!

We want to power out Kalemne by turn 3 or potentially even turn 2 if we get lucky. If we have a slower no ramp hand, we are hoping for at least some equipment to play out on turns 2 and 3 to set up our beats. Look for Sol Ring, Coldsteel Heart, Thought Vessel, Mind Stone, Fire Diamond, Marble Diamond, Fellwar Stone, and Boros Signet.

Step 2: FIGHT!!

The next step is obvious. Equip that bad girl up and cast some 5+ drop fatties to get those experience counters. Hammer of Nazahn is usually one of our first fetches off Relic Seeker, Enlightened Tutor, Godo, Bandit Warlord, or Stonehewer Giant. The instant equip saves us a ton of mana on those early turns, not to mention the bonus attack and indestructibility. Mask of Memory is often our second search for those sweet card draw, which is doubled if Kalemne is double striking damage. Grafted Exoskeleton presents an instant kill even with an unbuffed Kalemne that can be attached at instant speed by Stonehewer Giant.

The nuts?

T1: Sol Ring

T2: Kalemne, Disciple of Iroas

T3: Grafted Exoskeleton + Sigarda's Aid

Sunforger targets

Now our opponents are likely not going to sit back and let us beat on them. Sunforger gives us the versatility to respond to threats or close out the game. Search for Swords to Plowshares or Path to Exile for spot creature removal. Search Boros Charm to give your permanents (EQUIPMENTS AND LANDS) indestructibility. Crush Contraband takes care of annoying/taxing artifacts and enchantments. Master Warcraft either messes with combat, opens up opponents, or forces our attacks through.

Enlightened Tutor targets

We can also search up Enlightened Tutor which as stated before will often search up Hammer of Nazahn, but that's not all it can find. Legion's Initiative gives protection on top of an anthem. Blackblade Reforged can usually turn Kalemne into a OHKO threat. Mind's Eye can help if we're running out of gas.

"But everyone keeps killing my Commander!"

That's okay! Usually the turn after we play Kalemne we are following it up with some solid 5 drops which are threats on their own. And with all of the equipment laying around, they're bound to become beefcakes of their own making. Balan, Wandering Knight, Aurelia, the Warleader, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, and Vulshok Battlemaster can be terrifying in their own rights, not to mention the potential Grafted Exoskeleton laying around.
