Eldritch Moon Set Review —July 16, 2016

A new set? A new review:

WHITE:

Ironclad Slayer: Nice recursion for equipment when you got it.

Sigarda's Aid: THE best card in the set for Kalemne. The second ability is precisely what breaks the deck in half. Especially if you're going voltron. A Must-Add. If you do not run this, I will question your existence as a magic player.

Thalia's Lancers: It's alright. It nets you an Experience Counter, and it tutors. In my deck, it has a few uses. I may add this.

RED:

Sadly, nothing. The one card I would've considered was Nahiri's Wrath, but it's outclassed by Blasphemous Act and every white wrath ever.

COLORLESS/ARTIFACTS:

Nothing worth adding. There's Stitcher's Graft, but we can do better than that. Ok, fine, there's Hanweir Battlements  Meld, but Flamekin Village is superior because it can produce colored mana, even if it's offset by it coming into play tapped. Also, it's less awkward when you got one half of a meld card and not running the other half (which sucks in this deck, BTW).

Sadly, EMN offered little, but it made up for that with Sigarda's Aid alone. I fully expect the card to become a Kalemne staple going forward.

Groovelord: Eh. Even if I used MLD the right way, I think I'd still pass. I like the deck as it is right now, though I will look into Tragic Arrogance. I'm just not sure what to remove for it.

Nice deck +1. Could you review and upvote my Aurelia Boros Voltron?
