Jeskai Spellslinger/Burn Primer. This deck is a pretty simple spellslinger deck, with prowess and some cantrips. Sunforger works well to cheat out spells, and the main card advantage engine also fuels your insane ramp. This deck is pretty casual, but that doesn't mean it can't win.

F/S = Firesong and Sunspeaker, Like most nongreen decks, you're gonna need to use the rocks and robot. So for this deck, you would have.

1. Pyromancer's Goggles - Technically ramp, but mostly in here for the 'copy your spells' stuff. 2. Jeskai Banner - Nice ramp, turns into card draw later on. 3. Sol Ring - Sol ring. 4. Wayfarer's Bauble - Colorless rampant growth, nice in a non-green deck like this. 5. Solemn Simulacrum - Sad robot. Card draw and ramp on a 2/2 is pretty rad. 6. Gilded Lotus - Produces lots of colorful mana. In a spellslinger/burn deck like this, you want plenty of pips. 7 + 8. Izzet + Azorius Signets - Signets. Allows for turn 1 big ramp while on a budget. 9. Smothering Tithe - Huge ramp + payoff for all the grouphug stuff. 10. Sunforger - The hammer is kinda ramp. It cheats out spells, which is pretty rampy I guess. 11. Jace's Sanctum - Makes your spells cost less, pretty solid.

For what we lack in Ramp, we make up for in card draw.

1. Dictate of Kruphix - In a deck like this, politics can be important. This makes it so that people don't target you as much, and gives you extra cards every single turn. Be careful though, it can lead you to get nae nae'd by the greedy jund player. 2. Howling Mine - Same thing as DoK, but doesn't require as much blue devotion. 3. Niv-Mizzet Parun - Can you really call the dragon, the myth, the legend card draw? 4. Minds Aglow - "Hey, who wants to draw some cards?" 5. Treasure Cruise - Ancestral recall, but with the minor downside of exiling your graveyard. 6. Skullclamp - Pay 1 to "sacrifice" a creature and draw 2. Solid card.

But more than just random drawing, leaving things up to fate, what if we went for a more focused approach, searching through the mind for exactly what we need to overcome our opponents.

1. Archmage's Ascension - Rewards cantrips with tutoring 2. Brainstorm - Draw 3, put 2 back. Best card selection, in my opinion. 3. Ponder - Good card selection, everyone knows ponder. 3. Tormenting Voice - Discard and draw. Red card selection. 4. Cathartic Reunion - Discard and draw, but more. 5. Faithless Looting - 1 mana draw 2? Of course I'll play that! 6. Frantic Search - Like Faithless Looting, but free. 7. Mystical Tutor - It's the blue tutor, an absolute all star in decks like this. Best of all, it's only around 5$.

Now if you hadn't noticed, our commander, Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest cares about attacking with creatures. He manages to turn lil weak bois into massive doublestrike destroyers of worlds. The "Creatures+" section is made up of creatures and things which synergize with Shu Yun's ability.

1. Goblin Electromancer - Makes your spells cost less, is a potential Shu Yun target. 2. Jeskai Ascendancy - Boosts le creatures, gives them pseudo-vigilance, makes Shu-Yun's ability much, much more effective. 3. Monastery Mentor - Prowess + tokens with prowess, allows for big, explosive turns. Just like most prowess creatures, gets massive with Shu Yun. 4. Guttersnipe - Payoff for casting lots of spells, pretty common in "burn" decks. 5. Soulfire Grand Master - Gives you your spells recursion, gives your burn spells lifelink. 6. Firesong and Sunspeaker - Turns lifegain into burn and burn into lifegain. 7. Legion's Initiative - Boosts the team, can flicker them out of a boardwipe. 8. Assemble the Legion - Tokens, lots of them. Works well with Jeskai Ascendancy and Initiative. 9. Blaze Commando - Makes tokens when you deal damage with burn, pretty solid. 10. Ajani's Pridemate - The pridemate, a classic legend. 11. Keranos, God of Storms - Pretty sweet god, turns your good draws better and your bad draws into more draws. 12. Young Pyromancer - Token 13. Saheeli, Sublime Artificer - Token 14. Runechanter's Pike - Make something massive, eh? Great synergy with Shu Yun, obviously. 15. Myth Realized - Really cool, kinda weird. Can turn pretty big over time.

A spellslinger deck also needs, you know, spells. So here's some of those, I guess.

1. Jeskai Charm - Modal spells, huh? 2. Boros Charm - Modal spells indeed. 3. Azorius Charm - Modal spells again, yeah? 4. Healing Grace - Gains life, burns with F/S 5. Earthquake - Technically a boardwipe, but with F/S gains you a ton of life. 6. Rolling Earthquake - Like Earthquake, but it hits fliers. Can be better or worse, depending on your boardstate. 7. Revitalize - Gains life, draws a card 8. Lightning Helix - Burn and lifegain. 9. Warleader's Helix - Burn and lifegain, but taxed. 10. Narset's Reversal - Copy spell, but weird. Gotta have some fun includes, right? 11. Ojutai's Command - Modal spell again, but this one is just pretty good. 12. Flying Crane Technique - Win condition with tokens and ascendancy, or just with tokens. Great card, great sunforger target. 13. Crash Through - Cantrip. 14. Slip Through Space - Cantrip. 15. Skullcrack - Kinda like burn, but shuts off lifegain. 16. Fists of Flame - Cantrip, but can win the game if you draw enough cards. Synergizes very well with Shu Yun. 17. Expedite - Cantrip. 18. Unbreakable Formation - Boosts all your creatures and allows for a consequence free attack. Solid include for only 3 mana.
Some removal and disruption is also nice, so here's some of that.
1. Chaos Warp - What's the color pie? 2. Wear / Tear - Artifact/Enchantment Removal 3. Path to Exile - Great targeted removal, but can be replaced with more budget effects, like Condemn or Swords to Plowshares 4. Dovin's Veto - The DeVeto, good for protecting the boys. 5. Mizzium Mortars - Technically targeted removal, but usually used as a boardwipe. Notably, this is absolutely absurd with F/S. 6. Blasphemous Act - Boardwipe for cheap. Great when it has lifelink. 7. Fumigate - Solid boardwipe, gains some life I guess. Great budget option.
