Maybeboard

This deck got it's inspiration from the Paul Rietzl and Patrick Chapin B/W Midrange from PT Theros Dublin. They had sort of had strong one drop and two drop trade-offs and had sort of a control aspect having Thoughtseize and removals.

So, basically- this deck is a 'Remove everything on his side. Slowly become bigger on your side'. And while you're at it, gain life. Most of our cards have lifelink anyway. So, small creatures then Ethereal Armor then any god then aggro.

I play Fiendslayer Paladin because he's just like Blood Baron of Vizkopa, actually even better sometimes. Unlike BBoV, we can enchant Fiendslayer Paladin . He can become a flying, first strike lifelink 8/8 with the right enchantments.

Blood Baron of Vizkopa. We cant enchant it but its almost nor removable. so usually with all the lifelink creatures we got, we may reach the point where we have a 10/10 flyer on the field.

Sideboarding:

Sin Collector - for Izzet decks, or counter spell decks. You can exile a Supreme Verdict or a simple Dissolve or even a burn spell. It dodge's Elixir of Immortality as well.

e.g. Against Azorius or Esper - replace 4 Brain Maggot for 3 Sin Collector and 1 Revoke Existence .

Cool combination - against Azorius or Esper, put in Erebos, God of the Dead and Spirit of the Labyrinth, bye-bye Sphinx's Revelation.

Took this deck to FNM. Did not place. Learning experience.

First round- Forfeit! Was late due to traffic.

2nd Round- Rakdos Tempo. I won 2-0 Generally, when he put down something, I'd immediately remove it. So, I ended up finishing him up with Fiendslayer Paladin and Blood Baron of Viskopa.

3rd Round- Mirror Match. I lost 1-2 First game, I was at control. I'd bring out lots of Brain Maggot and wipe out his creature base. So, around turn 6 or 7, I brought out Blood Baron of Vizkopa and he had obviously no response. Next game, I was all land. That pretty much sums it up. Third game, he brought out Brimaz, King of Oreskos and brought out Heliod enchantments as well (spear and dictate). By the time I doom blade-d, It was too late.

4th Round. Boros Creature Aggro. I won 2-1

First game, I dealt a decent 7 damage total with an Ethereal Armored Hopeful Eidolon. Took out all his removal with Brain Maggot, then won with Obzedat, Ghost Council. 2nd game was ugly. I had a Hopeful Eidolon turn one. Then Ethereal Armor turn two. Swing for three. Then he Act of Treasons and equalizes. He then brings out a Banisher Priest around turn 4 exiling the Fiendslayer Paladin in put in the turn before. Then double Madcap Skills and Boros Charm. 3rd game, Swept the board with removal. Played blood baron of vizkopa early to make it a 10/10 flyer. the end!

5th round. Selesnya. I lost 0-2 The games were so fast that by the time we ended, my friend had just finished his first match of the series. He had so many tokens each of different types. He had a Brimaz, King of Oreskos cat soldier, knights, trample wurms and elementals from VoR. It was terrible. I had like one Hopeful Eidolon.

I won nothing today. Hehe. Good experience still. Change my sideboard tho!
