When I first saw Jared revealed in the Commander Legends set, I knew I had to brew. So I got out my cauldron, did some research on who Jared is, and added what I believe to the right mix of flavors to bash faces in with the Lost Prince.

Obviously this deck wins through commander damage but in an overwhelming way that is new to him. We want to boost Jared to high levels of attack and make him almost impossible to remove. Based on his colors, using Auras seemed the way to go, rather than equipment. I've never built a voltron style deck and he seemed perfect for it. Fight is cool but I don't need much creature removal in my meta (and I also don't run many board wipes because of it). I also built it in a way that I can voltron onto any creature I need to and I have a few lieutenants that can take his place if the moment isn't right for him to reclaim his throne. Overall I have really enjoyed it and it felt unique enough to share. There are more optimal creatures to add to the 99 but I added the Innistrad angels specifically as heralds for him if you will. While heralds go before, and he is easier to play based on cost, the impact is the same in my mind as this Lost Prince retakes his crown and ascends to new levels.

V 1.1 after Kaldhiem. I was hoping for more Auras or 'Runes'. Some of them were ok but nothing worth changing on that front. Added Halvar over Questing Beast and Reidane over Runic Armasaur.
