Nice deck description! well done! also, don't you want to run Reanimate?

Toxic Deluge should be included here. it's one of the best boardwipe for black.

how about Diabolic Intent, Eldritch Evolution or Demonic Tutor for more tutors. although i'm not quite sure what cards to replace for them. just some options.

@Conaxi4783 - Thanks! it took about 4 hours just finish the description and about 2-3 days to finish the initial decklist.. Reanimate is a bit expensive, but if I have more budget, I'm definitely adding that..

@vediusmaps - True, but i only have 1 for my Willowmaker deck.. I might add it in the future.. I only chose Back to Nature and Dead of Winter for versatility of removals.. Thanks for the suggestion though..

@hamdeadly - i think Diabolic Intent and Eldritch Evolution is counterintuitive imo, since i don't want to sacrifice possible fodder for Jarad, to find a creature in my library.. Also since my graveyard is the zone where i would most likely get the best odds of finding a solution to the current situation.. Plus i have other tutors which can add creatures to my yard such as Jarad's Orders and Final Parting.. Demonic Tutor is good, but i currently lack the budget to buy one.. I'll definitely add that though in the future.. Thanks for the suggestions!

You could also consider some reanimator classics like Animate Dead and Dance of the Dead. The Mending of Dominaria is also another good land recursion, since you're milling quite a bit.

Haunted Crossroads and Tortured Existence are good cards for digging out of the graveyard, too.

@bushido_man96 - how does Animate Dead and Dance of the Dead works? Am I right that you target and enchant a creature from your graveyard and put it into play, and as long as the enchantment is in play, you don't sacrifice the creature?

My problem with The Mending of Dominaria is it's slow and costs a lot to put a creature from the yard to your hand only.. And it's obvious to each opponent when it's going to happen.. But i'll playtest it just to be familiar with it..

Haunted Crossroads is slow as well.. but Tortured Existence may come in handy when in need of a certain creature for in the current situation of the game.. Thanks for the suggestions!

Yes, Animate Dead becomes an aura that enchants the creature. Lose the aura, lose the creature. If you've got some steady, repeatable ways to draw cards, Haunted Crossroads is smoother. You can also activate it on the end step before your turn.

@bushido_man96 - ahhh! i see! i didn't thought to activate it in the endstep before my turn! that makes a lot more sense! lol thanks for reminding me.. those two cards are much more efficient than other sorcery reanimation spells..

Whisper, Blood Liturgist should be better than Victimize, it's a creature as well.

March 3, 2020 6:30 p.m.

hox167 says... #11

ooops! it's not directly better than victimize, since it's 1 for 2, not 2 for 1 like victimize but it's repeatable.

@hox167 - lol. You might have misread earlier.. it's not a problem though.. Whisper, Blood Liturgist can be good in some circumstance, not sure about in this deck though.. Thanks for suggesting it!

Exsanguinate should be a good card in the late game.

where's the green ramp staples? Kodama's Reach, Cultivate, Rampant Growth, Explosive Vegetation and Explore?

hivemind899 says... #15

also Harrow is good for adding card to the graveyard.

March 3, 2020 8:59 p.m.

bushido_man96 says... #16

Demonic Tutor is great, but I would also point you to Jarad's Orders and Final Parting which each get a card to hand and graveyard.

March 3, 2020 9:05 p.m.

LastEdegy says... #17

@jigosaurus - yep! I'm going to include that if i can find where to put it.. I already have that card, so no need to buy one.. Thanks!

@hivemind899 - Thanks for the suggestions, but I would like to put more emphasis on ramp creatures, since it also doubles as possible creatures in my graveyard, although Harrow might be a good inclusion, since I can recur lands from my graveyard too..

@bushido_man96 - Yes, I already have Jarad's Orders and Final Parting in the decklist.. Those cards do a lot in my main strategy.. I only considered Demonic Tutor since it has a low CMC tutor, but it depends on playtesting the deck, since so far Rune-Scarred Demon can fulfill Demonic Tutor's role, but on a creature.. Thanks again!

Hermit Druid unless budget restriction, then replace most of the basic lands with non-basic to get the most out of it.

March 3, 2020 11:39 p.m.

BIBIGIV says... #19

don't you need more card draw? 3 is too low in my opinion. although, you graveyard can be counted as your 2nd hand. Guardian Project, Deathreap Ritual or Moldervine Reclamation can be good additions.

March 4, 2020 2 a.m.

LastEdegy says... #20

@rafiq996 - It's not out of my budget, however, when adding Hermit Druid, i need to put a lot of non-basic lands, preferrably those who don't comes in play tapped, but those are more expensive than 1/4 of the deck currently.. I will, however, add it to my maybe list, just in case in the future, i would add it.. Thanks for the suggestion!

@BIBIGIV - true, it's also low in my opinion as well, but after playtesting the deck, so far the amount of card draw is sufficient enough.. although, if in the near future the lack of card draw starts to bite me for putting only 3, i might add Guardian Project.. The others are not that efficient enough, since I don't have many ways to sacrifice my creatures consistently.. Thanks!

Baleful Force is much better than Phyrexian Arena but on a creature.

March 4, 2020 9:01 p.m.

Ironheart78 says... #22

Also Bloodgift Demon, Indulgent Tormentor are good draw engines on a creature too. Foulmire Knight is another that can return from exile.

March 4, 2020 9:24 p.m.

Ironheart78 says... #23

oh oh! i forgot Yavimaya Elder! I thought you had that in the deck knowing Sakura-Tribe Elder was already in here.

March 4, 2020 9:34 p.m.

LastEdegy says... #24

@Ironheart78 - those are good creatures for constant card draw! the Baleful Force and Indulgent Tormentor are the ones i'll most likely to include.. probably the Yavimaya Elder as well.. Thanks for the suggestions!
