Maybeboard

Rather than the Caleb D route, this deck aims to control the game until it can hit enough land drops to kill the opponent with a Ribbons doubled off of a Primal Wellspring. Azcanta, the Sunken Ruin can find both halves of the combo, and often times many opponents will stumble due to hands full of dead removal.

"What if they Abrade or Cast Out Amulet?"

"What if they board 4 Negate?"

"What if they Field of Ruin Primal Wellspring?"

"What if they play (X unbeatable threat) here)?"

Just Glorybringer G2 100% of the time. The best answer to the opponent is to kill the opponent.

Matchups:

Mardu:

Their threats are extremely diverse: Scrapheap Scrounger, Heart of Kiran and Hazoret the Fervent are just a fleet of control hating threats, not to mention variations with aggressive 1-2 drops, planeswalkers, Abrade and Cast Out. The best way to handle this matchup is to play at instant speed most of the game, trade 1 for 1 and go up on cards, and try to KO Scrapheap Scrounger. This is one of the few matchups Glorybringer doesn't auto win in game 2 since some players will keep in Unlicensed Disintegration.

-3 Hour of Devastation-3 Primal Wellspring-3 Cut-2 Essence Scatter

+2 Consign+1 Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh+4 Magma Spray+4 Glorybringer

Approach:

Whoever taps out first probably loses, prioritize drawing cards to hit land drops but otherwise keep mana open. Be aware that they can mill you out with Ipnu Riverlet if you've drawn too many cards. G2 they play 3-4 Regal Caracal so Hour of Devastation should be kept as needed.

+1 Blood Sun+2 Consign+4 Glorybringer

-2 Cut-3 Harnessed Lightning-2 Abrade

Grixis:

Key cards run in these variants include Glint-Sleeve Siphoner, Chandra, Torch of Defiance, The Scarab God, Torrential Gearhulk. Game 2 their Abrades are dead, your sorcery speed spells are bad against 4 Negate and 4 Abrade.

+1 Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh+2 Consign+4 Glorybringer

-3 Hour of Devastation-3 Primal Amulet  -1 Cut

Mono Red:

G1 is pretty unwinnable, G2 and G3 you don't need card advantage, you just need to survive and clock them with Glorybringer and you should be fine.

+4 Magma Spray+2 Consign+4 Glorybringer+1 Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh

-1 Pull from Tomorrow-3 Primal Amulet  -3 Cut-4 Glimmer of Genius

Gift:

Tough Matchup, one NEEDS to save Disallow for resolved Gate to the Afterlife and eternalize abilities, Magma Spray turn 2-3 eternalize creatures, and protect Primal Amulet   from Ixalan's Binding

+4 Magma Spray+2 Consign+4 Glorybringer

-2 Essence Scatter-3 Harnessed Lightning-3 Hour of Devastation-2 Opt

Ramp:

Carnage Tyrant is a hell of a card

+3 Vizier of Many Faces+4 Glorybringer+1 Nicol Bolas, God-Pharoah+2 Consign

-3 Harnessed Lightning-2 Essence Scatter-3 Cut-2 Censor

Green or White Aggro:

Key cards: Legion's Landing  , Hashep Oasis, Oketra's Monument, Adanto Vanguard, Resilient Khenra, Adorned Pouncer, Negate

+1 Blood Sun+4 Magma Spray+4 Glorybringer+1 Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh

-1 Pull from Tomorrow-4 Glimmer of Genius-2 Opt-3 Disallow

Black Aggro:

G1 is usually a bye, though Dread Wanderer and Scrapheap Scrounger can grind you out. G2 they have access to 4 Duress as well as 4 Kitesail Freebooter so try not to mulligan aggressively.

+4 Magma Spray+4 Glorybringer

-3 Disallow-2 Essence Scatter-3 Supreme Will
