This Historic deck is one of the funnest, and one of the strongest I play in Historic on Arena. It runs the typical control spells, e.g. [sinister sabotage], [Hostage Taker], [Elspeth's Nightmare], and [Tyrant's Scorn}, while also running a potent value engine with [Nadir Kraken],[Liliana, Dreadhorde General], [Woe Strider]. This Engine allows you to essentially pay a generic mana to draw a card. When you add [Pitiless Plunderer] the engine becomes an instant win combo! Here's how it works. Sacrifice a tentacle token to the Strider, this triggers lili to draw a card, and the plunderer to make a treasure token. When you draw the card, [Nadir Kraken] triggers, and you can sac the treasure to pay the cost, which makes another tentacle token. Sac the new tentacle to the strider, and so on. How do You win? When you get down to around two or three cards left, you will have drawn [Thassa's Oracle]. Sac the Kraken and the last tentacle two get two treasure tokens to cast the oracle, and win on the spot!
