With new sets, come new cards and In Search of Greatness has intrigued me. So lets see what we can do with it. I started by considering it as an inclusion in my Enduring Ideal list but wasn't sure how it would fare. It would require a major rework, from u/w to w/g (maybe even u/w/g) and I wasn't sure how that would work when you commonly play Phyrexian Unlife + Solemnity , a combo which couldn't be put into play in consecutive turns (for free) because of the +1 to casting cost part of In Search of Greatness . That ended up being a major obstacle to getting true value so I started working on a higher costing version that started with Leyline of Sanctity .

Using the leyline as my starting point would give me a faster start to more costly enchantments and protection to boot. The problem I was running into while building this, was the simple question of "What do I do if I don't draw leyline in my opening hand?". I wanted to create chains like leyline into Sphere of Safety , then following it up with Dovescape and Form of the Dragon . Typical Enduring Ideal things. But then I realized after I had Dovescape in play, my following enchantments would be countered leaving me some bird tokens for me trouble. And then it hit me. There is also a leyline for tokens in white as well Leyline of the Meek . I could use it as leylines 5-8 and it works with Dovescape to break the creature symmetry. And that's where this deck was born. (Long story I know). Thoughts and feedback are wanted and appreciated.
