so when Altar of the Brood came out, i played around with it a few times and realised it's pretty powerful mill. it's also very cheap and, best of all, colourless. i thought it would be cool to break normal colour-pie deck archetypes and make a mono-white mill deck (i cheated a tiny bit with
Augury Adept
, but mono-white just doesn't have a lot of good card draw).
so this deck wins by milling your opponent to death. Ghoulcaller's Bell mills yourself as well, which feeds into Emeria, The Sky Ruin and
Rally the Ancestors
, so that's why i used it instead of Codex Shredder.
flickering things triggers Altar of the Brood, so it's a good thing white likes to do that.
Sundial of the Infinite because of shenanigans. combos with Fiend Hunter,
Glimmerpoint Stag
,
Galepowder Mage
, Oblivion Ring,
Rally the Ancestors
, Stonecloaker,
Rally the Ancestors
,
Sudden Disappearance
, and others, as long as you end the turn when the triggered ability you want is on the stack. it's my favourite wonky card and it's actually somewhat useful in this deck. it also has other uses, like if someone takes you by surprise during your turn you can just exile whatever spell or ability it is off the stack.
i also put in a combo with Oblivion Ring, Leonin Relic-Warder, and Fiend Hunter. Play those three in that order, targeting each other, and loop until your opponent runs out of deck (with Altar of the Brood on the bf) or gain infinite life (with Suture Priest).
it's just a fun casual deck, but suggestions are welcomed! thanks!
