This is a multiplayer prison control deck.

Step 1

HIDE

The first thing to do with this deck is to understand what kind of decks your opponent's are playing. Always pay close attention to their commanders. If someone has an Uril, the Miststalker deck, they are quite likely to be running voltron, and you should have a different idea of how to play the game than someone running a Damia, Sage of Stone deck, that is more likely a combo-control deck.

Once you have ascertained what kind of decks you are up against, you have to start planning the best cards to get into play the quickest. The early game with this deck is setting up locks so that your opponents are less likely to be able to win. Ramping into really early untap locks is one of the cruelest things you can do in a 3-4 player pod. This will stretch the game out much longer, and allow you to get some more prison cards into play that will prevent the others from doing much of anything.

The whole point of the early game is to develop board states that lock down the opponents, it requires an adept knowledge of how the cards work and which ones are best suited for which decks, individual choices are explained below.

Step 2

HIDE

This step comes after you have been able to develop a strong enough board state that the opponent can do nothing. This deck's main wincon is the Grim Monolith/ Basalt Monolith + Power Artifact + Blue Sun's Zenith infinite draw combo. This should never be played without you having at least 1 Counterspell in hand, or with every opponent tapped out/no hand. There are enough tutors in this deck that you can reliably hit it, and with the Necropotence draw power, hitting it with enough protection is never an issue.

Another thing that commonly happens with this deck is that it is so oppressive that many people will after realizing just how little they can do against this deck. Their turns are so basic that they are unable to interact with the game at all, and they quit. This way is not looked upon very kindly by other EDH players, but this deck should never be taken to a casual pod.
