Most other cards will do small amounts of life loss to all opponents with a little life gain for us. Mother of Runes will play defence for our critters. Sorin, Grim Nemesis and Wedding Ring will help with draw as well as add to some nastiness late game.

Trying to avoid the combo loop of Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond in the maybe board.
