Varolz, the Scar-Striped is the reason this deck was created he can make creatures big for little mana
Invisible Stalker a great target for scavaging onto
Death's Shadow the best creature to scavage
Grisly Salvage the best instant speed mill spell auto include
Bitterblossom creates tokens to sack to Varolz, the Scar-Striped
Apostle's Blessing to protecting creatures and to make a creature unblockable
The only really bad match up is burn since we do alot of damage to our self other then that its pretty fine against all the other top decks.
On the Friday of 10/17/14 this deck accomplished more then I could ask for it made the finials of an FNM. So first round was against a jund deck was pretty straight forward my creatures were just bigger. I won this 2-0 First game was quick, second was a bit of a challenge his Liliana of the Veil made me sac Varolz, the Scar-Striped so I beat him down with bitterblossm
In the second match i won 2-1 Naya zooLost the first game do to takeing to much damage from my stuff. For the sideboard I brought in Maelstrom Pulse and Abrupt Decay. Second game went way beter with some early dredge cards to make Invisible Stalker in to a beat machine. Third game he got land flooded.
In the third game i won 2-0 another jund deckThis was for some reason was easier than the first won
In the fourth game was against soul sisters 2-0This was to easy beat way to easy we did way more damage than he could gain the life
In the finials it was against Jeski burn deck 0-2 This was a horrible match up I was doing way to much damage to my self the game was over before it began
Over all I am very impressed with this deck varols, the scar-striped is way better than i could have imagined
