"Horobi, great way to screw up interacting with cre"
This is a casual deck I made in response to a friend bragging about his unbeatable dino deck. Needless to say the dinosaurs faced extinction yet again.
This deck can screw up the board in magnificent ways. Without horobi out you have a bunch of buff/debuff abilities that you can play politics with. With horobi in play you just mess everything up that relies on creatures.
The cards that have x in their ability cost, like panacea and belbes armor, dont actually require anything to be paid for x. It just prevents 0 damage or buffs toughness by 0 respectively. But that's not usually what we're after. Just the fact that it targets is enough. With painbringer I believe it is the same. I couldnt find a ruling on if you can choose to remove 0 cards from the graveyard or not, but it still deserves a slot as a good way to remove indestructible creatures.
Spine of ish sah's purpose is mostly because my playgroup loves overwhelming splendor. It and claws of gix can be used against troublesome non creature decks (even though its horribly expensive).
For protection theres not much you can do to defend horobi. Cant equip or enchant any creatures without destroying them and having the ability or enchantment fizzle. So soul of new phyrexia is perfect for this. Soul of innistrad is also here to help get back your losses.
Win cons are beatdown thru artisan of kozilek (big dude that's a reanimator, yay), darksteel colossus (immune to our shenanigans) and your opponents beatsticks thru grave betrayal, or big mana spells like torment of hailfire and exsanguinate.
I am open to any feedback that you are willing to offer, always happy and thankful for the help!
Ps, I know my tutors are not up to snuff, I dont have any copies of the good black tutors sorry! Looking to get some when I can afford them though.
