The Premise of the Deck

Hello! and welcome to my Hofri Ghostforge deck. I remember when spoilers were coming out for Strixhaven and this guy came out. I think Osgir quickly overshadowed just how powerful he is. As a Timmy, I couldn't help but die on the inside thinking about hasty trampling spirits that Hofri just gives you for attacking. After all, who doesn't enjoy sending their creatures sideways? So after sitting on him for awhile, I've finally decided to create my own take on this deck.

The premise of this deck: Summon large creatures and send sideways in hopes of doing damage (classic Boros), letting them die to combat OR sacrificing them to Fling type of effects for more damage, then recurring a larger, tramplier, hastier, more spirited version of themselves and then do it all over again.

Benefits of this commander:

• Lets you benefit from attacking mercilessly.
• Allows you flexibility in strategy (i.e. playing Fling type effects)
• Quasi-spirit tribal in Boros? Yes, please.

Drawbacks of this commander:

• No built-in protection for himself.
• There are other, obviously stronger commanders for big swing decks.
