AN HOMAGE TO A MODERN DECK OF EARLIER DAYS

YEARS BACK, WHEN I FIRST PICKED MAGIC BACK UP, I FOUND ONE BUILD BY SHAUN MCLAREN THAT INSPIRED MY DECK BUILDING FOR YEARS TO COME. ITS WAS CREATIVE, POWERFUL AND INSANELY FLEXIBLE. IT WAS EQUAL PARTS A CONTROL DECK, A TEMPO DECK, AND A BURN DECK WITH THIS CREATURE OVERRUN STRATEGY BUILT CAREFULLY UPON THE BACK OF ITS NAMESAKE CARD. I'VE BUILT MANY DECKS THAT HAVE TRIED TO FOLLOW THIS ETHOS IN MANY FORMATS. NOW WITH THE INDUCTION OF Snapcaster Mage INTO THE HISTORIC FORMAT, I FELT IT WAS TIME TO DEDICATE A BUILD TO ONE OF MY FAVORITE DECKS OF ALL TIME.
