Decision on direction —Feb. 27, 2020

I recently added a lot of fatties with increasing efficiency. The deck is very timmy in nature, but I still want to give it a more nuanced playstyle. To achieve this, the coming updates won't focus on better fatties or more efficient ramp, but instead on tech cards to support some more filigree lines of play. Cards I'll add will be Vedalken Orrery and Sensei's Divining Top to be able to surprise my opponents with what I can cast from my library. If anyone has ideas for cards that help in this regard, please let me know.

Dude. T1 ramp has been awesome for me. Sol Ring is obvious, but Wild Growth, Elvish Mystic, and Llanowar Elves. Git it!

RxPhantom: Seems necessary. What would you take out?

Hmmmm...after just a cursory look, I'd probably say Skyshroud Claim, Wild Pair, and maybe...Vivien's Arkbow? You've already got a lot of draw that I think you could afford to cut these in exchange for stronger starts.

RxPhantom: What you say makes sense. After writing my question, I thought about it by myself. I decided to drop Beanstalk Giant, Nissa's Pilgrimage and Bow of Nylea, and I replaced them with one copy of each Llanowar Elves, Elvish Mystic and Arbor Elf. The Giant is a worse Cultivate, and the deathtouch bow grants isn't as useful as I thought. Right now, I'm undecided if I should re-add Pilgrimage for Skyshroud Claim. As all my basics are forest, it's basically a Cultivate with a slight upside. I'll have to think about this.

Wait wait wait! In mono-green, Nissa's Pilgrimage strictly better than both Kodama's Reach and Cultivate. Good call on the Giant; that's an easy cut. The reason I'd cut Claim is because it competes with Goreclaw at 4 mana. I think you should reconsider Wild Growth. It's basically free and isn't susceptible to most Wrath effects.

RxPhantom: I'll add in Wild Growth as soon as I can get one. It's definitely great here. Thanks a lot.
