Land destruction is pretty heartless, isn't it?

Good.

This deck seeks to abuse the two goblins who are happy to take out a land - Goblin Settler and Goblin Gardener - alongside Heartless Summoning to result in a Sorcery that reads ": Destroy target land." Stone Rain, eat your heart out! Avalanche Riders does the same and even swings as a 1/1 with Haste for free. With eleven creatures that pop a land then die, Grim Haruspex ends up being a measly for a 2/1 that earns you a card every time. If a pile of two mana Stone Rains isn't good enough, what if they were all cantrips, too?

Once your opponent is playing with a strangled mana base, he will probably only be able to afford creatures that are puny. Inferno Titan and Massacre Wurm's abilities are no less potent when they have -1/-1, and can mow through hordes of weenies while still having impressive stats. Perilous Myr is the ultimate in mana advantage when it's zero mana for a Shock (especially when it gets you a card from the Haruspex!) and there's no better deal than a zero mana 4/5.
