In the deserts north of the great Tuhlen jungle, the royal house of the Zenji has ruled for time out of mind. One of their earliest Princes was the brother of the King, and he sojourned so far into the deserts that the Ausir slavers came upon him and his. To save his war-band, he allowed himself to be taken and sold as a slave in the capital of the Zenji's great enemies. There, he was a gladiator, but he earned his liberty, carried off a Princess, and returned to his home, where he found it torn by war in his absence.

He put that to rights, and legends sprang up that he could summon armies practically by stamping his foot, as if the very earth fought for him.

Hazezon Tamar represents Zhanteimi, the Zenji Prince.
