Have fun storming the castle!

Legacy

Selsenay

This is likely the most "Johnny" I will ever get. But here goes:

Storm has always been the mechanic that everyone loves to break (see Dragonstorm or Brain Freeze, e.g.), but to do it in an extended Pauper deck takes a little different approach.

The win conditions here involve playing a lot of mana producing spells and a lot of cheap burn and then storm into a Grapeshot or a Empty the Warrens (or both). Doing this requires that you begin the turn with 8 cards in hand for maximum effectiveness (nine with Glitterfang , see below).

Glitterfang allows you to play a card on the turn before you go off, and return it to your hand after you would have discarded down, to allow even one more card in your hand to fuel the next turn's storm.

Needle Drop helps draw into more things to play, while Surging Flame has the chance of rippling into more damage and another spell to cast for free.

Desperate Ritual also splices into Lava Spike for even more mana.
