Sideboard

This deck started as a casual deck that I grew to really like. So I figured... Why not see what it would be like to make it more competitive for Modern?

Honestly, I've never been interested in competition decks but this has become something of a pet project.

After some play testing, the deck has come a long way. Now I think its time for an update on how the deck works. The idea is to bring out creatures that are fairly hard to deal with and forcing the opponent to make hard decisions.

Normally, you want to start with a first turn Dryad Militant . This helps Bant Sureblade and Naya Hushblade become harder to deal with almost immediately, with Bant Sureblade being able to deal with early aggro threats and Naya Hushblade unable to be targeted via shroud. Not only that, but you're getting first turn graveyard hate and a 2/1 creature, which is fantastic.

Loxodon Smiter is huge for a 3 drop and it's abilities, though situational, make it more than formidable. Voice of Resurgence is a cheap and great way for countering more reactive decks. Kitchen Finks are a nuisance. Qasali Pridemage gives the deck a way to deal with enchantments and artifacts in creature form. Then we have Wilt-Leaf Liege which buffs every creature in the deck due to their colors and has a very solid power and toughness for a 4 drop.

Then we have instants. Path to Exile for removal. Blossoming Defense adds a little bit of protection and a quick buff. Collected Company searches out more creatures. Mercy Killing is a very nice answer to removal as you sacrifice your own creatures for more creatures. This combos well with Voice of Resurgence and Kitchen Finks.

Moving on to the sideboard, Brave the Elements (suggested by Haarva91) for protection. Selesnya Charm for situational threats. Shield of the Oversoul can be added in for more buffing power or if you need a way around a wall of non-flying creatures. I like to add Qasali Ambusher as a means to potentially play something for free and stop attackers when they appear. And just a few spares for cards already mentioned.

This deck has seen some extensive play against Goblins, Jeskai burn/control, and Dredge. I'd say the win ratio is about 50/50 for each, though it seems like Goblins have a hard time dealing with this deck than the others. It tends to struggle against control but can come back with the right plays.

Other than a better mana base, it has been a struggle to find other cards to add to the deck. I'd like to keep the multicolored theme if I can, but I'd say mono-colored instants and sorcery's are fair game. Any help would be much appreciated if anyone is willing.

One idea I had was adding Glittering Wish to the deck and adding singles of Wheel of Sun and Moon , Sigarda, Host of Herons , Privileged Position , Fracturing Gust , and maybe even Gaddock Teeg to the sideboard to fish out when I need them to give my deck more options. But I was told Collected Company was the better way to go, so that's what I did. Let me know what you think about this idea and whether or not I should run it.

Other than that, I thank you for taking the time to look at this deck and hope to hear whatever advise comes my way.
