GW - Enchantments

Let's get started, this a non-linear enchantment creature deck that strives to swarm the board with at first seemingly low powered but efficient creatures, while later in the game things gets out of hand with card draw, ramp, life gain, and counters.

Core Strategy

Our goal like anything else in magic is to win, but how do we get there you might ask? Well, we leverage the synergistic elements Green/White Enchantment decks offer in terms of Mana efficiency, dropping thicc bois, and life gain. We are in it for the long haul with this deck and do not provide the typical T3/4 win found in most Tier 1 decks. Attrition is the name of the game and progressively flooding the board is the desired end state.

Thicc Bois

Courser of Kruphix, Dryad of the Ilysian Grove, Nyx-Fleece Ram represent the "core" and are vital in filtering card draws, additional land drops per turn, and staving off near certain death against moderns extremely fast and low to the ground meta. In essence Courser of Kruphix + Dryad of the Ilysian Grove represent a fantastic engine for filtering through our decks lands, while simultaneously gaining much needed life in the process. The Ram is meant to combat aggressive or low to the ground decks that go all in quickly but tend to loss much of there power and speed late game. It helps act as a wall against much of moderns grounded meta game, not to mention synergizes perfectly with Heliod, Sun-Crowned as a continuous source of life gain and counters.

Combat Tricks

Aggressiveness was never one this decks strong points, but nonetheless we have several tools at our disposal to apply reasonable amounts of pressure at the opponent. Bow of Nylea is fantastic at allowing are creature's to sneak damage in else risk conducting an unwanted trade. Assault Formation turns our thicc bois into much more capable threats, even without using it's activated ability. Noble Hierarch stacks perfectly with nearly all of our creatures thanks to its exalted trigger, nevermind its ability to accelerate card drops early in the game. Lastly, and more so questionably, we have Nylea, God of the Hunt. While it's not a terrible card, I believe its potential is best utilized late game for an all in approach thanks to its anthem effects granting our creatures trample.

The Engine and Turbo

Coupled with our thicc bois we need a way to increase the threat level on the board. Much of our creature base isn't that spectacular in the realm of actually projecting power. Enter Heliod, Sun-Crowned, the enabler of many infinite life/damage decks floating around in moderns degenerate meta. Assuming we can stabilize and survive to see a late game, this card can straight out win us the game. Any action we take with this card in play (i.e. playing a land or enchantment) increases the threat level by pumping are already wide board. Our engine wouldn't be complete without some sort of card advantage or ramp like effects. For this we use Eidolon of Blossoms and Herald of the Pantheon, objectively both of these cards are terrible on their own because of there inefficient CMC's and lackluster P/T, but if allowed remain on the battlefield morph into a highly efficiency and nearly unstoppable draw engine. The biggest downfall of these two creature's is there vulnerability to moderns highly diverse pool of removal spells and without this engine this deck tends to significantly lose its edge.

Limitations Apply

This deck is a bit limited it terms of player-to-player interaction (besides the few combat tricks and sideboard options)and remains extremely vulnerable to board wipes and other types of mass removal as well. Sideboarding is the only real way to deal with certain archetypes that prey on creature focused decks, or for dealing with other non-interactive strategies (ex Ad Nauseum, Titan, Storm, even etc.).
