Alrighty! I’ve wanted a Gruul deck for a long long time. Like a really long time. And this is what I came up with.

As soon as I saw Klothys in the Theros spoilers, I knew the card would be a really cool commander. But I didn’t want to build her like everyone else you know. I have 10 Commander decks now and I realize I have only one deck that doesn’t revolve around it’s Commander completely. At the same time, I opened a Setessan Champion as my pre-release promo. This is when it occurred to me that Klothys was an enchantment in my CommandZone with great overall value even if I don’t build around her especially.

Enchantresses!!! I thought about building a Karametra enchantress deck a long time ago for similar reasons. So this is it! I want an Enchantress deck around Klothys because Green does have some amazing enchantresses and enchantment payoffs.

But what about red? What do they have in terms of enchantments? Well they have tons of painful enchantment similar to Klothys. Enchantments that punish other players more than they punish me. And they also have the greatest enchantress boardwipes ever. Jokulhaups and friends.

So here’s the plan, play enchantresses, play enchantments, draw a bunch, ramp a bunch, get some goooood value and then boom, break the board. Wipe it clean, of everything, except my dear enchantments.
