The theme of this deck is counters on creatures and how to take advantage of them.

Cards like Gyre Sage, Incubation Druid, Rishkar Peema Renegade can help you get insane amounts of mana with counters. On the other hand Herb Baloth and Iridescent Hornbeetle will make you a bunch of tokens when you put counters.

Cytoplast Root-Kin, Kalonian Hydra, Loyal Guardian, Renata Called to the Hunt, Hardened Scales and Oran-Rief the Vastwood will increase the number of counters on your creatures. So will cards with proliferate, especially Evolution Sage and Karn's Bastion.

To protect the board we have Heroic Intervention, Wrap in Vigor and Inspiring Call. For drawing, Inspiring Call, Armorcraft Judge, Shamanic Revelations and Rishkar's Expertise

Our plan is to make a bunch of creatures with token spells while our commander is out. Then trying to add counters or buffing them to attack.

Cryptholithe rite and song of freyalise seem nice for this deck. Harvest seasons i just thought might be good. However, i have never tried that card before.

I have also added Phyrexian Altar, Ashnod's Altar and Thermopod in the sideboard, for sacrificing creatures for mana. If you do so, add Skullclamp!!!

Another way of building this deck is to go Tribal. You could try saprolings, goblins or elves perhaps (those were my initial thoughts).

For saprolings the fungus creatures like Utopia Mycon and Psychotrope Thalid can make good use of your tokens. For goblins, Skirk Prospector is always nice. Elves have many good synergies. I ve put some on maybeboard.

If you go tribal, consider Mana Echoes and Coat of Arms.

Human Tribal is bad idea :) I have added Imperial Recruiter, which I believe is my only human. But he can come in handy, finding Rishkar Peema Renegade or Incubation Druid seems really good for mana acceleration. Cultivator of Blades, Kalonian Hydra and Cytoplast Root-Kin also are decent to find. There are also a lot of other options to consider.

All the removal cards are replacable with whatever you like. I haven't given much thought in them and any recommendations will be considered. But I prefer creatures that are used as removal or taxing as our deck is build around creatures and counters.

I have added some infect cards (not too many), as an alt win condition. Having proliferate on the deck helps you put counters on your opponents (while buffing your creatures) and serves as an alternative win condition.

Another alternative win condition can be Altar of Dementia, which I included in the sideboard.

The deck is not complicated. You try to get enough creatures and counters on them.

Overrwhelming stampede, pathbreaker ibex and Triumph of the Hordes will help you trample through if needed. Gruul charm can get you past non flying defences as well.

There are also some creatures that give every creature you control with a +1/+1 counter, trample. I haven't added those, but its worth considering.

Anyway have fun changing and testing this deck. Grumgully is a fun commander and quite simple. There is also the cruel option with persist creatures if you wanna go infinite, but that's not my playstyle.

The land tutors can be replaced i guess, if you like (e.g. Sylvan scrying). I added them to test Karn's Bastion and Inkmoth Nexus in the deck. Lands are your preference and you can easily lower the budget by changing those (and the sideboard).

The sideboard is just some extra options for you (not a real sideboard).

Any card recommendations and replacements will be appreciated.

P.S. the maybeboard is weird i just added a lot of creatures that destroy artifacts and enchantments. Gaea's cradle is perfect for this deck, if its price wasn't so absurd.
