This is a meme deck where I try to jam group hug, spellslinger, and death by wheels all into one deck. You can very easily cut out white for a more consistent manabase and use Riku for an overall better choice of commander for a group hug wheel deck, or go grixis with nekusar like any other wheel deck. Kynaios and Tiro fits the bill the well enough.
Key points
Need at most 13 wheel effects to draw the table out- (99-8)/7
Needs a lot of mana to chain together 13 wheel effects in a turn - minimum 14 on the spot with no disruption and hive mind, average 18 mana with no disruption
Key cards
Eye of the Storm - Needs at most 5 spells, 4 of which must be wheels or copy spells to go off - max 21 mana and needs 6 and 4
Hive Mind - Needs at most 4 spells, and will likely make the game a tie without a permanent that shuffles your graveyard into your library, discard replacement effect, or draw replacement effect
-Is also the most efficient mana-wise at 14 mana minimum
Windfall - best wheel for deck because you can just copy it once or twice for the table kill
Other wheels from best to worse for purposes of this deck
- Wheel and Deal - does not kill you and cantrips - is also expensive at 4 mana and
- Wheel of Fortune - cheapest and most expensive wheel
- Reforge the Soul- is better than below since you can use bonus round for a convoluted line for 3 mana more
- Wheel of Fate - can't use bonus round line to combo off
- Fateful Showdown - only really works with library of leng or other discard replacement effect to burn the table down
Effects that copy things in decreasing importance in context of main goal
- Bonus Round - acts as eye of the storm with enough copy effects for the purposes of going off
- Reverberate / Twincast - your bread and butter copy effect
- Wild Ricochet - more expensive, but flexible copy effect
- Flipped Primal Amulet
- great if you can get it flipped - much easier to do so than level 4 echo mage
- Narset's Reversal - can be used for various combos and synergies, but is useless for hive mind and eye of the storm
Smothering Tithe - gives you enough mana to combo off of one wheel effect
Library of Leng - increases hand size & is anti-discard/wheel tech
Abundance - turns each wheel into all gas and is draw replacement effect
Wheel of Sun and Moon - anti-discard/wheel
Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre - anti-discard/wheel, removal, and beater in 1
Plan B Cards and combos
Psychosis crawler - damage from all the draw and a big boy
Minds Aglow - if all else fails, and can set up a good windfall (taken out to test with ulamog to not lose from own wheels)
