Hey all,

This is my Phelddagrif deck. It's super goofy and is mostly just intended to be fun, but it actually can win every now and again.

There are two main ways to win: 1. The first way to win is to mill the whole table through draw. This is the least reliable of the two win cons given the widespread use of the old Eldrazi like Kozilek, Butcher of Truth or Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger which hose mill strategies and the fact that helping your opponents draw cards is always a risky maneuver. However, I have won this way before, and it can deceive opponents for a long time because they think I'm just playing the hug game. The way to execute this win con is to draw a bunch of cards with things like Minds Aglow , Howling Mine , Dictate of Kruphix , and Well of Ideas , get a massive hand, then wheel away everyone's deck with Windfall or Jace's Archivist . If we run the risk of milling ourselves, we can always cast Laboratory Maniac and win that way.

  1. The second way to win is death by hippos, and is much more reliable. The idea is to cast Phelddagrif immediately, choose an opponent (hopefully one who is not playing black because sac outlets), and immediately start making a ton of hippos for them. This is where our ramp and pillow fort pieces come in. They can't attack me with the hippo horde if they have to pay two mana for each one with cards like Ghostly Prison and Propaganda , and we'll be able to make massive amounts of green mana with cards like Frontier Siege , Shizuko, Caller of Autumn , and Vernal Bloom . The hope is that the player we partner up with will be able to help us kill the other players. After it's just us and our buddy left, we can continue to create hippos for them and kill them with Angel's Trumpet or take the hippos with Reins of Power and overwhelm them. Since it should be the late game at this point, we can also try our aforementioned mill strategy for the win.

Obviously the deck's biggest issue is that it relies on other players to help it win, but again, this deck tries to have fun more than anything. I would love to get any advice you guys have. Thanks!
