***IMPORTANT***

This deck is made specifically for a format at my local card shop where it's the same as regular EDH but every card over $2 (according to the lowest TCGPlayer median price) is banned aside from the general who is allowed to be up to $5.

If you're not interested in playing in this format, use this deck as a skeleton to find some really good, fun, and cheap cards to throw into your deck and improve it with more expensive cards that do a better job.

***IMPORTANT***

Welcome to my Zada, Hedron Grinder deck! This deck seeks to grind (harharhar) massive amounts of value out of Zada through using targeted cantrips and buffs.

All in all, the deck is pretty straight-forward. Get a massive board of tokens and cheap creatures, play Zada, cast instants/sorceries on Zada, win the game.

Due to the nature of this deck though, it can be set back if your opponents don't let you develop a board. Because of this, there are two main routes I take depending on how aggressive/defensive my opponents are playing. Either I develop a meager board and only play Zada in hopes of drawing 4-8 cards or I will go full aggro and play as many tokens/buffs possible. In the casual playgroup I play with, games last long enough for me to use the first strategy more; but it is something to keep in mind.

As a last note, I was really surprised building this deck for 2DH. There seem to be very few "staple" cards I'm missing out on when building in the confines of 2DH. Sure it would be nice to have Sol Ring , Krenko, Mob Boss , Ruby Medallion , and Strionic Resonator ; but I didn't feel like I was missing out on too much when building this deck.

Hope you all enjoy! As always, feedback and comments are more than appreciated.

-1 Charmbreaker Devils -1 Blazing Shoal

+1 Red Elemental Blast +1 Pyroblast

I found Charmbreaker Devils too high costing and difficult to protect until your next upkeep. Even if you manage to protect him until your upkeep, you only get one spell at random from your graveyard. Never was happy to draw this card and never wanted to play it, so it was a natural cut.

Blazing Shoal definitely isn't terrible, but since most of the cards in my deck are less than 3 mana; it generally ends up being an overcosted buff spell or a dead card. I also have more than enough buff cards in this deck to be able to close out a game easy enough.

Red Elemental Blast and Pyroblast both have (almost) the same text which really helps this deck's biggest weakness: counterspells. This deck is a combo deck and loves to go off by drawing a ton of cards, gaining a lot of mana, and then playing a lot of buffs. Naturally, counterspells are this deck's worst nightmare, but these two inclusions should help a little bit.
