The Tao of Muxus, Gobbo Secrets Shared Between the Tribe:

1) Aggressively mulligan any first 7 with less than 3 lands, or less than 2 lands + 2 other mana sources. (An exception to this is a hand with 3 lands that all make colorless, you really want double red. Another is a hand with 2 land and a chrome mox and a card to imprint on to mox, and one business spell).

2) Turns 1 - 3: Focus on dropping ramp, haste enabler, body double, or hate piece like blood moon, or winning with recruiter (addressed later), or drop Muxus if you can turn 3 or earlier unless it makes sense to set-up on the prior mentioned depending on your hand. If you don't have anything but fast mana and Muxus, go ahead and just get him out on turn 3.

3) Deploy Muxus wisely, either force answers by droppping turn 3 if you have the ramp, or try to play out your other pieces first unless an emergency and make full use of the wheel effects to find a haste enabler or blood moon or cards like Molten Echoes. You're not always guaranteed an untap, so why not make sure you can kill them without untapping? I generally am looking to really murder someone when I'm deploying Muxus, and not just to play the odds and hope for good flips. At a minimum, I like for Muxus to be able to swing in that turn for big and make them lose some board presence. This deck is about PRESSURE. But don't worry, you have lots of gobbos to play while you wait for the right time to Muxus.

4) Understand the most powerful card in the deck is goblin recruiter, so generally speaking, you are going to use your imperial tutor or goblin matron to fetch for it, because recruiter instantly puts the opponents in a hard to interactive next to win scenario, and you pick which route to go depending on the hate on the table.

5) Goblin Recruiter Continued: If you don't have the mana to play Muxus, then this is a good stack: A) Play Recruiter B) top: 1# Conspicuous Snoop, #2 Skirk Prospector, #3 Torch Courier, #4 Kiki-Jiki, #5 Pashalik Mons. Next turn play conspicuous Snoop, use his ability to play skirk, sac recuiter for mana to play torch courier (if you have less than 3 mana), sac courier to give snoop haste, with Kiki on top of the library, snoop can make an infinite amount of copies of himself since he's not legendary, sac enough with skirk propsector to play kiki, and then to play Pashalik, and then sac the rest of the tokens to burn out everyone on the table.

6) Goblin Recruiter Continued 2: If I have enough mana for muxus, I prefer to go for the muxus infinites, because you can layer safety nets in them to protect the combo and make them harder to stop. I guess this is the EvilTeaCup's special stack: #1 Dockside Extortionist, 2# Goblin Trashmaster (but resolve #3 first off a Muxus flip for protection), 3# Goblin Chirurgeon ("doc gob"), 4# Goblin Chieftain, 5# Krenko, Mob Boss, 6# Kiki-Jiki, 7# Lightning Crafter.

7) Reason for ETC stack is dockside extoronist provides a lot of mana which you might be needing if they keep stopping you from deploying Muxus somehow, and is honestly just one of the most broken creatures ever printed for EDH, so it's usually a nice top deck. Then, either you play extortionist if you get a big payoff, or you just proceed to play muxus and resolve the creatures in the order they are written except for #2 & #3. The reason for this exception is trashmaster takes care of torpor orb in case they drop it after you pile with recruiter, so I want it in my hand just in case faster then doc gob, but I want doc gob on the field before trasmasher, because doc gob can protect important cards like trashmaster with its sac ability, and hopefully you have a few goblins on hand to protect your pieces. Then (below is from EDHREC):

Steps: Resolve Lightning Crafter, targeting Kiki-Jiki with the champion trigger. With the champion trigger on the stack, target Lightning Crafter with Kiki-Jiki's ability, creating a token copy with haste. Target Kiki-Jiki with the token's champion trigger. Resolve the token's champion trigger, exiling Kiki-Jiki. Tap the token to deal 3 damage to a target of your choice. Sacrifice the token, adding :manar: and returning Kiki-Jiki to the battlefield untapped. Repeat steps 2 to 6.

8) There are many ways to combo off, another is to have lightning crafter target muxus, crafter puts its ability on the stack targeting itself, respond with kiki-jiki's ability making another copy of crafter, before the copy comes into plan, have crafter's ability trigger and kill itself, muxus enters the battlefield and flips 6 cards and gets championed again by the copy of the crafter, rinse repeat and play your whole deck out!

9) If you don't have the combo, don't split your damage, straight up murder your biggest rival, and threaten that anyone that attacks you while your mopping the floor with the first one, they will get the same no matter how long it takes if they backstab. Yes, gobbos hold grudges, but an enemy of my enemy is my friend, and Muxus has it in his heart to make sure his friend gets 2nd place, or maybe even 1st place, as long as they remember Muxus wears the pants.

10) Play around board wipes as much as you can, but there's all the haste enablers, purphoros, and goblin bombardment to get in damage before they can stop it through a wipe. All the wheels are to refill your hands. All the goblins is to have a good probability of flipping at least 2 goblins off of Muxus.

11) Be quick to find a friend in someone at the table that has removal, because this deck loves it's haste and ETB triggers. (Next update will have Chaos Warp, will have to test for the cut)

12) PRACTICE!!! There are so many ways and contexts on how to use your goblins, that I recommend just playing the deck a lot, gold-fishing it a bit at first. I believe the pointers I gave are enough to go on, but please come back with any questions or comments.

13) Oh yes, the deck finally has Chaos Warp in it. Embrace the Chaos Warp, love the Chaos Warp, let the Chaos Warp flow and don't worry about after. Trust in the Chaos Warp. Die by the Chaos Warp.
