Gnostro, Voice of the Crags is a new Jeskai storm commander from Commander Legends. I played sealed and built a fun deck around them, so I figured I'd try to make a full 100-card list.

The weird thing about Gnostro is that none of their storm payoffs win you the game on their own. I think that's a good thing -- no need to make them busted -- but it presents a challenge: 1) How do you get the needed storm count to make Gnostro's ability really good, and 2) what do you do with it?

My answer with this deck is to go for an artifact/eggs approach, reducing their costs to the point where they are free and including a ton of cards that will draw you cards whenever you cast them. Or you can make infinite mana and cast them all without a cost reducer with Basalt Monolith and Rings of Brighthearth. Or -- even better -- you can go Pauper infinite with Battered Golem and Banishing Knack and other similar synergies, targeting a free artifact and casting it over and over. Best of all, you can build-your-own Paradox Engine with Jeskai Ascendancy and the mana dorks in the deck, and who wouldn't want to do that?

So that's great -- there are plenty of ways to storm off -- but how do you win? That's where the "enrage" creatures come in. Need to draw cards? Draw half your deck by pinging Swans of Bryn Argoll or other similar creatures for 50. Want to one-shot an opponent? Ping Truefire Captain or other similar creatures for 1,000. Have infinite mana and want to win that way? How about Aurelia's Fury? Have a massive storm count but no Gnostro on the battlefield? There's always Grapeshot.

Anyway, you get the picture. I think this deck would work pretty well, and it is only slightly more than $100, so I'm calling it budget anyway.
