This deck is inspired by Last Stand which I've always wanted to play and which oddly produces saprolings. However, this deck is more of a fungus tribal that utilizes saprolings as a resource for chump blocking, producing mana with cards like Springleaf Parade, sacrificing with cards like Deathspore Thallid, swinging with if boosted by something like Mirror Entity, and winning alternatively with Epic Struggle. It's very much a work in progress and any feedback is appreciated! There are some good non-fungus creature cards out there which produce saprolings, but I am sticking strictly to only fungus creatures (and changelings) in the deck.

Note on reducing costs: this deck has a high cost primarily due to the original dual lands. These can be replaced with shock lands, cycle lands, or surveil lands for a much cheaper build that functions almost just as well (or even better in some instances). The fetch lands also raise the cost to play a fairly minor role for Sporemound and The Mycotyrant and could be replaced with the same type of lands above (since over half the deck is green mana fixing isn’t too hard). Doing all of the above should reduce it by 80-85%.

Morophon, the Boundless: Choose fungus as every creature spell in the deck counts as one and now all our spells cost 1-3 less mana less and we almost hardly need to worry about matching colored mana anymore.

Mirrormind Crown: is extremely strong in this deck and synergizes with MANY of the creatures for a stronger benefit than a saproling or shapeshifter token would be.

Reflections of Littjara: Super cool card that gives us a clone of most all the creature spells in the deck.

Peer Pressure: Awesome card with our shapeshifters. If we have at least two we can likely steal from our opponents. Look out for which opponents have overlapping types (like human) so you can steal them all from them.

Mirror Entity: Beyond buffing our creatures, it's important to note this is a temporary way to make all our saprolings much stronger since they become fungus for the anthems.

Skullclamp: I actually usually don’t like this card, but it is particularly good in this deck as it can be used to kill any saproling. The deck is designed to not give any anthem boost to saprolings so they’re always 1/1s unless temporarily boosted by Mirror Entity or Pallid Mycoderm.

Yawgmoth's Will: with the discounted mana from our commander and Herald's Hornfoil and/or Urza's Incubator, we can make a massive recover from board wipes.

Amoeboid Changeling + Peer Pressure: If we have two shapeshifters in play which is easily done with Amoeboid, then we can likely grab any one creature our opponent has (if they aren't a tribal deck).

Mirror Entity + Peer Pressure: you can steal almost any type of creature you want from all your opponents.

Sporemound + Life and Limb: Infinite saproling tokens. You can break this at whatever number of tokens you want if you have a sac creature outlet to sac Sporemound or destroy it or Life and Limb.

Peer Pressure + Life and Limb ( + optional Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth) probably can steal all your opponents forests unless they’re ramping really hard with lands or have saprolings themselves. With Yavimaya you can steal ALL their lands.

Sensei's Divining Top + Realmwalker /Herald's Hornfoil: helps better ensure a creature is top deck.

Sensei's Divining Top + fetch land: good way to reshuffle if you don't like your next 3 cards coming up.

Morophon, the Boundless + Herald's Hornfoil and/or Urza's Incubator: many of the creature cards become 0-2 CMC!

Last Stand + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth/card:Yavimaya ( + optional Life and Limb): many more saprolings or damage.

Hall of Heliod's Generosity + Sterling Grove: our enchantments are some of the strongest and most important pieces we can now grab repeatedly.

Raise the Palisade + Mirror Entity: protect the saprolings too.
