Goal of this standard deck
Playing Flying creatures, make them stronger and make them unblockable. Besides that, control the opponent by counterspells and delaying their play. After all, this is a control themed deck.
Win condition
Herald of Secret Streams
,
Pledge of Unity
and/ or
Ajani, the Greathearted
makes it possible to attack with strong creatures, without creatures being blocked.
Rally of Wings
could be a finisher when multiple creatures attack. If not,
Rally of Wings
could be used as a defensive action.
Control
Dovin's Veto
is there as a counterspell.
Teferi, Time Raveler
and
Warrant / Warden
are used for removal.
Warrant / Warden
is also a way to play more creatures if needed, because the creature amount in this deck is relatively low.
Kinjalli's Sunwing
is great for delaying the opponent even more. If the opponent plays many cards that trigger a certain ability,
Kinjalli's Sunwing
could be replaced by
Tocatli Honor Guard
.
Time Wipe
is a creature wipe, but mostly in desperate times. When this card is cast, there could be a situation that there are already planeswalkers played at that time. If so, these are not removed and could support the only creature left in hand played in the next turn.
Card Draw
Dovin's Acuity
as an enchantment could fix the damage that has been done in the early game, especially because
Healer's Hawk
is quite vulnerable. Playing
Dovin's Acuity
in combination with
Sphinx of Foresight
, the player is not only able to draw better, but also able to draw more cards.
Contentious Plan
is included to draw a card, but also to proliferate all of the planeswalkers and creatures on the battlefield. The
Teferi, Time Raveler
"-3 ability" also causes a card draw.
The deck is mostly made out pricy cards I already own and some cheaper cards I need to gather. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
