Flash Scarlet Speedster

This is my take on a Flash (DC Comics) themed deck. Deck is for pure flavor and not meant to be anything more than casual fun. Below I explain my reasoning for most cards. If you have any ideas for more flavor or representation please let me know!

Commander

Commander

For my commander I chose Urabrask the hidden. The flavor of this card jumped out to me the most for being the representation of the flash. Just in the name "the hidden" reminds me of flash's speed and how he is often hidden to the naked eye from his speed. I also wanted a commander that either was a haste enabler, had haste, or had flash. Urabrask gives other creatures haste so check (also reminds me of the flash's ability to lend speed to other people). Urabrask's other ability really sold me on him as the flash. Creatures your opponent controls enter tapped, to me this reminds me of how when moving at super speed the flash's enemies appear to be not moving (tapped). Lastly just the art of urabrask reminds me of the flash. The art depicts him running in a very similar depiction of how flash looks running in the comics

I included a few artifacts/equipment that refer to the flash in some sort.

1. Lightning Greaves (obviously refers to the flash's iconic boots and speed)

2. Swiftfoot Boots (same as LG)

3. Helm of the Gods (refers to Jay Garricks' helm that was a reference to Hermes)

4. Sol Ring (Represents the flash's ring that he keeps his suit in)

5. Aeon Engine (represents the flash's time travel shenanigans and how he messes with the timeline)

6. Timesifter (reference to time travel)

7. Unwinding Clock (another reference to time travel)

8. Planar Bridge (the best representation of the cosmic treadmill I could come up with)

I tried to find some cards to represent other character in the flash universe. This was harder than expected but here is what I came up with.

Barry Allen - Urabrask (Commander)

Wally West - Lightning Runner (Pretty on point with artwork and flavor IMO)

Reverse Flash New 52 - Koth of the Hammer (His armor shards reminded me of this version of the RF)

Professor Zoom - Heartless Hidetsugu (Dude takes out major health and that seems pretty evil to me idk this one is kinda a stretch haha)

Tornado Twins - Dragon-Style Twins (twins = twins that's about it)

Jay Garrick - Feldon of the Third Path (really a stretch but old human was my fit for him lol)
