It Finally Happened! —March 25, 2018

I stopped lying to myself. I now consider this janky piece of shit one of my favorite decks, but it was sorely lacking something.

So I finally bought a playset of Exhumes for it. It changes the dynamic of the deck, but makes Turn 2 six-drops (or bigger) possible.

Unbridled Growth looks like a perfect new addition to this decklist. Not only does it do the job of fixing your mana, and providing card advantage, but it puts itself into your graveyard so you can delve it.

You also will probably want to flesh out playsets of Matca Rioters and Tribal Flames, since those are your cheapest, but also biggest sources of damage potential. A playset of Lightning Bolt never hurt anyone, either.

Austin_Smith_of_Cards: Thanks for your advice, I appreciate it!

As for Matca Rioters, I like only having 3-of my creatures, because they tend to clog up my opening hand otherwise. I need things like recursion and mill on my first two turns.

Tribal Flames will definitely get a playset... as soon as I remember to finally by two more next time I'm at my LGS. =)

Unbridled Growth, however, would work as you said, but then it would have to replace Nylea's Presence, which not only draws me a card, but also activates "domain" as early as turn two.

I wouldn't replace the Nylea's Presence with the Unbridled Growth; on the contrary, I would run each as a playset. In order to make room, I would cut one Grapple with the Past, one Macabre Waltz, one Ponder, and the Index.

You can afford to lose some of your graveyard fillers because Unbridled Growth is card advantage, graveyard filling, AND mana fixing all in one card.

ozzyfish19: I like Ash Barrens as an alternative to Terramorphic Expanse and Evolving Wilds. It works at a slightly different "speed" than the other two, which can be useful at times. Not a big deal, but nice to have around for now, really.

np for the shoutout. Thanks for making a deck that inspired me. =)

As for Treasure Cruise, I play Paper pauper, actually. So in my little playgroup, we're still allowing Cruise and Hymn to Tourach and Goblin Grenade... for now, anyway.

Thanks for the comment and +1!
