Wanted to merge a deck with Feather, the Redeemed, Aria of Flame and Orvar, the All-Form. Started with jeskai but it was pretty bad. Then went Ink-Treader Nephilim, the deck was absolutely nuts, him being in the command zone was just a huge draw spell for 5 mana, it was not OK to house rule in, but was a fun experiment.

The deck took a small break and was considering sisay or going some non black 4c partners to keep the same shell, but using a legal commander and then codie and magecraft were released so I went and made the adjustments to this deck. This deck is really sweet and very happy with how lethal Aria of Flame is in a edh deck. I've tried making that card work in other decks before and kept scrapping them. Zada, Hedron Grinder and friends, along with Jeskai Ascendancy are pretty nuts, Chain of Smog/Chain of Acid combo naturally fits the deck along side Isochron Scepter Dramatic Reversal. Codie doesn't come out till I have some setup for him, or because I got a dead hand and need make make some kind of advantage with his ability or transforming/donating it.

If some other 5c commander came out that cares about spells, I might make the swap. Codie is pretty good for the mana filtering, jeskai ascendancy and "cascade" but its restriction is pretty noticable some games.
