I am in love with Throne of Eldrain! A Vorthos to my core, and a lover of fairytales in all their forms, every spoiler has me creating a new deck in inspiration, proxying them out, and testing them relentlessly.

Starting a game with a Once Upon a Time feels better than opening with a leyline (something this deck does too). This card essentially acts as a first turn mana fixing land, and I've cut four lands accordingly. Late game it filters away lands for combo pieces. Any standard deck with green in it should - in my humble opinion, run 18 lands and 4 Once upon a time.

The combo goes untapper + mana greater than 3 + use for that mana.

Untappers are our most fragile category with only: Gauntlets of Light

In the mana greater than 3 category we have: Incubation Druid + Leyline of Abundance Faeburrow Elder + 4 colors. ( Scuttlemutt or Planewide Celebration are supposed to do this, but in reality it's normally achieved with a leyline.)

Enabling everybody we have: Biomancer's Familiar - reducing the cost of Gauntlets of Light

Giving +1/+1 counters to everybody in infinite supply, Leyline of Abundance

Drawing your deck, gaining life, and Trampling we have: Hydroid Krasis

Zegana, Utopian Speaker gives all you creatures trample when they get big.

There are other directions this deck could go

I played with Wakeroot Elemental and Lotus Vale which goes infinite with three leylines by itself, and with gauntlets acts another 3 mana producing creature. It ended up being too much investment for not enough payoff, but another deck might be able to make it work.

High Alert is a decent second gauntlet and can go infinite with Faeburrow Elder and colors. I haven't adequately explored this with Faeburrow - it wasn't worth it with just the druid.

Other decks I've been brewing in this Standard story include:

Deck:mtg-decks/16-09-19-food Food tribal

Elderain -Knight tribal

Once upon an adventure - Adventure tribal

Mirror mirror on the wall -Monoblue control

Shimmershine - artifact combo

The merry inventor - fires of invention build around

Familiar light - infinite mana in standard has never been so easy!

Wings - flying tribal

Big - giant tribal

Beastblessed - monogreen value
