depending on your Meta, I like to run Heroic Intervention for those "oh you played a wrath of God?" at only a 2 drop it has saved many an elf

Grahamatica Thanks I might just add that to mine or at least side board it.

I think Chord of Calling would merit an inclusion here to get you to Terastodon or even just Reclamation Sage in order to take care of problem permanents.

I don't know how your meta looks but how has Wave of Vitriol worked compared to cheaper, instant speed removal like Krosan Grip?

Thanks for commenting SirBedevere we have a player in our meta that is obsessed with building artifacts and getting them to a indestructible/hexproof board state. I kept Wave of Vitriol in from the precon to deal with him. However I have taken note that many times in late game wave hurts the table way way way more than me and can put me very far ahead.

You have 3 cards in the entire deck that aren't permanents, I suggest making it 4 and adding Primal Surge. Genesis Wave wouldn't be bad either

Hey Amyas, looks great, nice description. Thanks for the plug to Ezuri's Fury (Budget). I'm glad the deck gave you inspiration for your own Commander deck.

You've gone beyond what I consider budget which is nice; my suggestions will not be budget. I'm not trying to make your deck look more like Fury, that's not my intention, here are some suggestions:

  1. Regal Force
  2. Beast Within
  3. Chord of Calling
  4. Fauna Shaman
  5. Worldly Tutor
  6. Skullclamp

Cards like these can be considered staples for not only non-budget Commander Elves decks, but green non-budget Commander decks. I suggest trying to fit some of them in. If I had to choose two from the list to add I would choose Force and Shaman. Force because it's mass draw on a tutorable creature it can also be bounced to be reused again. Shaman because she's an Elf who can be a repeatable creature tutor who can be used more than one time a turn because she can potentially be untapped.

Good luck with your deck.

I love Ezuri elf tribal and spent years tuning it so far. Here's my current list . It may fire up some inspiration for you! Sharpen Your Ears

My deck relies much heavier on combo however. Makes me more of a threat but I had to sacrifice some recursion which makes me way more of a Glass Cannon.

Hexbringer0 Awesome alt art on that Ezuri, Renegade Leader! I have been debaiting Paradox Engine and Cloudstone Curio for a long time.

I never thought of using Illusionist's Bracers in this deck! I use it in a few others. I guess I was hung up on it not doubling mana dorks. But adding two pumps for the price of one or regenerating two elves with Ezuri, Renegade Leader sounds really good! Cards like Argothian Elder and Arbor Elf don't count as mana abilities but are still mana ramp right?

April 20, 2018 8:56 a.m.

Hexbringer0 says... #20

Yes and Illusionist's Bracers + Seeker of Skybreak and any mana dork, gets you infinite mana.

Hexbringer0 riiiiiiiight yea wow totally awesome....

Hexbringer0 says... #22

Oh btw....if you do consider Cloudstone Curio you have to consider Aluren. So many combos....

April 22, 2018 6:27 p.m.

Hexbringer0 says... #23

For example....Cloudstone Curio and Dwynen's Elite= 2 mana per elf as much as you can....add in Aluren and it becomes infinite elves. Aluren is a huge risk card depending on your meta however, but i have never had another deck in my meta take better advantage of it then me in a game so idk...
