Kelsien, the Plague gets you experience counters whenever a creature he pings dies.

Daxos the Returned gets you experience counters whenever you cast an enchantment spell.

Kalemne, Disciple of Iroas gets you experience counters whenever you cast a creature with cmc 5 or more.

So this deck tries to do all three!

There is a decent amount of removal in the deck, but I figure you can also just be opportunistic with Kelsien, pinging creatures that were going to die anyway. Unfortunately, this deck doesn't contain any ways to untap him for multiple pings per turn, but hopefully Daxos and Kalemne will make up for that.

Around the middle of the creature curve, there are basically all the playable enchantment creatures in red, black, and white with cmc 5 or more. Combined with some useful enchantments, these should get you a few experience counters from Daxos, and at the least if they are already in play, he can trigger their constellation abilities with his activated ability.

The creatures don't stop there, however. There is a nice little group of 8 cmc creatures (and one 9 cmc creature) at the top of the curve. These, in addition to the enchantment creatures, can get you experience counters with Kalemne.

However, since the deck has a bunch of high cmc creatures, it also has a self-mill, discard, and reanimation package to get back big creatures from your graveyard for cheaper cost.

Add to that a decent amount of removal and board wipes, and you get a janky, budget, Mardu midrange deck.
