At first glance Vega might appear as an underperforming Azorius commander, but don't be fooled his passive ability will make him shine in the late game. Drawing one extra card whenever you cast a spell from anywhere but your hand will result in you steadily gaining card advantage over your opponents.

Help

I've tested this deck several times. So far, I've won 50% of my games; however, I noticed multiple flaws in the deck:

1. Lack of a winning strategy that doesn't involve stealing or copying my opponents creatures/permanents.
2. Missing cheap spells that are cast from zones besides the hand
3. A consistent way of triggering Vega's ability every turn

I'm trying to keep this deck as budget friendly as possible. Therefore, please let me know if you can think of any budget substitutes for some of the pricier cards.

1. Think Twice < Glimpse of Freedom : Glimpse is repeatable
2. Ravenform < Mystic Reflection : instant speed "removal"
3. Taigam, Ojutai Master < Glorious Protector : Taigam helps you when you're already winning
4. Cast Through Time < card: Talent of the Telephath: not synergistic at all
5. Living Lore < Ethereal Forager : combat dmg hard to trigger + dont want to exile spells
6. Quiet Speculation < Emry, Lurker of the Loch : Emry mills + cast artifacts from gy
7. Muse Vessel < Jace's Mindseeker : Muse Vessel usually exiles lands + mana intensive
8. Time Wipe < Austere Command : Austere Command is more flexible
9. Island + Plains < Geier Reach Sanitarium , Dowsing Dagger  , Windbrisk Heights , Silundi Vision  , Glasspool Mimic
