Sideboard

Creature (4)

Maybeboard

We all know the usual tricks with Zada, Hedron Grinder. Target her with a piddly little spell that also cantrips or lets you scry, and hey presto, you instead get to draw a card or scry for each creature you control! Now admittedly that's great, but it's not very imaginative - we've all drawn a bunch of cards at least once before. Want something a little spicier?

How about getting a combat phase for each creature you control?

Now that's suitably insane. The more creatures you have, the more opportunities you have to swing with everyone, so it makes sense to make Zada feel at home with those always-numerous goblins. Since we're getting multiple attacks in one turn, we can score an interesting bit of utility with creatures that trigger every time they swing. Goblin General and Goblin Wardriver buff your army so that every subsequent attack hits harder than the last, and Battle Cry Goblin will actually create more goblins every time he turns sideways. Nice and nice! Goblin Matron can grab Zada if you need her or any other goblin to build up your board before you swing.

There's just one snag - your bundle of Seize the Day copies will untap your creatures all at once then never again. If you swing with everyone - well, you'll still get another half-dozen extra combats, but everyone will be too tapped to make use of them. You'll need to get vigilance on all of your critters so they can make every attack available, which is why we're splashing white for Reconnaissance. This criminally underrated enchantment of course allows for the dreaded pseudo-vigilance: simply untap all of your attacking creatures during the end-of-combat step, after they've dealt damage, and you get to effectively have your cake and eat it, too. Of course, you can also use the Recon to save any pipsqueaks doomed to death by blockers. Don't worry, thanks to the General, they'll keep coming back until they're too big to stop!

Of course, we need to actually assemble these different parts for a successful flurry of combats, so Zada can be targeted by the classic Expedite or Shelter to draw you a bunch of cards and hopefully score what you need. Shelter can also protect your crew from untimely removal or allow them to waltz past potential blockers - ensuring enough damage nails your opponent is key!

The deck could be truly mono-red if you sub in Apostle's Blessing and Angel's Trumpet for the white cards, but the Trumpet also has the unfortunate side effect of basically ensuring all of your opponent's creatures will be available to block.
