I have never been a huge fan of the word "No"... unless followed by two tapped Island's and a frown from my opponent. Well, I kept hearing people talking about the state of Control in the Standard Format, and a lot of the conversations involved the word "No". However, I would think in a format based around decks trying to play a reactive tempo style - where Draw/Go Control is fine to just pass the turn back and force them to play their utility creatures for Tempo and then outvalue them - and decks built around surviving early and then take over the mid-to-late with a big fat flyer - where Draw/Go loves to wait a few turns and play the longer game.

Of course there is probably a legitimate reason why this strategy is suboptimal, I fail to see it... and given my love of Control, I decided to give the strategy a go. This is the early draft of the list I came up with. It focuses on playing at an instant speed, allowing you to stay reactive and actively disrupting your opponents plans. It eventually wants to drop an Emrakul of it's own and end the game soon after. Again, this is an early draft of the list, but I feel pretty good about the general 60, but I want to see what the deck is lacking in match-ups in order to build a sideboard.

Spontaneous Mutation may seem like a wierd include, but its really good at weakening a threat and then also makes for a nice pairing with Tragic Arrogance by allowing you to leave that creature up and sweep away all the threats. In the late game, it can even turn an Emrakul into little more than a massive wall.

Please let me know what you think, and the results if you test with it if you want, so maybe it can help me figure out what needs some work. Thanks!
