Jeskai Voltron

The premise behind this desk are the 7 swords of x and y. I pulled 4 of the 5 original swords from a double masters box and started brewing. I chose Elsha of the Infinite because she has white in her identity, gives some form of card advantage from the command zone and is not a common voltron commander.

Mana Base: I plan on running a lot of basics for Land Tax and Sword of the Animist. I ended up running 11 basics but may bring it up to 12 or 14.

Primary Win Con

Commander damage and lots of it. If Elsha is holding enough swords then throw some extra onto tokens and support creatures and keep up the pressure until victory.

Alt Win Cons

Combo. My meta generally plays optimized decks to pseudo competitive and combo typically let's me still have a way to win after my commander has been exiled 100 times.

Godo, Bandit Warlord + Helm of the Host: Infinite Godo's with infinite combat steps.

Any creature + five lands + Sword of Feast and Famine + Aggravated Assault: Infinite Combat Steps

Elsha of the Infinite + Jhoira's Familiar / Etherium Sculptor / Cloud Key + Sensei's Divining Top: Ability to draw my entire library. There isn't a labman win-con but if drawing 20+ cards doesn't lead to victory then I probably shouldn't win anyway.

Emry, Lurker of the Loch + Lotus Petal + Jeskai Ascendancy: Infinite mana, inifiite loot, and infinitely large creature/s.

Building Around Elsha

Goal is to limit lands and creatures. Creatures included need to help the equipment theme or generate tokens/defense.

Equipment Preferences after the Swords

I am running 1 ramp equipment Sword of the Animist. Helps ramp and remove lands from library.

Next are any equipment that gives me removal. If I can remove threats with equipment then I can make cuts on other forms of removal.

Trying to optimize use of the best keywords. The swords should provide plenty of 'protection' and evasion. Lifelink and vigilance are preferred to allow my commander to stay as a blocker after attacking and keep my life high to allow continued aggression (and survive hate that aggression will draw).

After Playtesting

I added the other artifact card reducers because it can enable the deck to just take off with Elsha on the field. Even at 30 lands, mana isn't much of a problem with all of the ramping artifacts and low cmc of the deck.

Feel free to offer suggestions or replacements. The ones I have gotten so far have proved to be most helpful.

Cuts

Embercleave: Gets shutdown by swords that give pro-red.

Godsend: Gets Shutdown by swords that give pro-white.

Mandate of Peace: Fun card but I think I can do without this fog effect.

Thoughtcast: One U for 2 cards is solid but I have other draw engines.
