Mono green elves was my very first EDH deck with Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury at the helm. Later I switched to Ezuri, Renegade Leader as my general and I was able to keep pace with my meta. Lately though, Ezuri has been letting me down despite consistent upgrades. I initially bought the Lathril, Blade of the Elves Precon as a way to bolster my Ezuri list, but after a few games it still seemed ineffective.

Previous Golgari elf commanders leaned too far into graveyard strategy for my taste, but Lathril offers the classic go-wide elf tribal strategy while also giving us access to black, so it seems like it’s worth a shot. The life drain ability also makes for a fun, if not unlikely wincon that I look forward to trying out. Let me know what you think! Suggestions are welcome.
