Paradox Engine is Banned! Ignore everything about it.

This deck is as explosive as it gets. It's a pile of mana producing creatures and lands and the General is the ultimate mana sink. With even just one land in play you can develop a board of the little green men (and women) very quickly.

The deck is very good at mimicking infinite mana even without it's infinite mana enablers. Be prepared to do lots of math!

What do we do? The main plan is to play little elves and then drop an elf that taps for G for each elf you control. These include Priest of Titania , Elvish Archdruid , and Wirewood Channeler . Then you want to equip them with Umbral Mantle or Sword of the Paruns then proceed to run out the entire deck or use Ezuri, Renegade Leader overrun ability an indeterminate amount of times. Even without these equipments you will find yourself producing ungodly amounts of mana.

There are plenty of untap effects other than these equipments; Quirion Ranger , Wirewood Simbiote, Scryb Ranger , Seeker of Skybreak , Thousand-Year Elixir , Wirewood Lodge , Vitalize , Copperhorn Scout all allow for untapping of mana producers.

Lands: In a similar vein, this deck uses lands and mana doubling effects to produce loads of mana as well. Doublers: Vernal Bloom , Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger , Mana Reflection (Note that Mana Reflection works with your mana dorks as well!) Other Land Abuse: Growing Rites of Itlimoc  , Argothian Elder , Deserted Temple , Elvish Guidance , Arbor Elf (works best with Elvish Guidance).

Card Draw: One of the crucial aspects of this deck running well besides speed is card advantage. We are actually pretty well suited to keep our grip relatively full. Cards like Multani's Acolyte and Elvish Visionary add elf bodies to the field and draw a card on ETB. More helpful cards are Soul of the Harvest and Regal Force . These guys can keep your hand going or in the case of Regal, draw you insane amounts of cards at once. Some of my favorite cards for drawing in this deck are Garruk, Caller of Beasts and Slate of Ancestry . Garruk has never gotten me less than 2 cards to hand on a +1 activation. Slate is bonkers. Play your entire hand, pay 4 and draw anywhere from 1-40 cards. From turns 3 on you should have a board pretty full of elves. In addition Lifecrafter's Bestiary helps smooth out draws and draw cards.

The All stars: Besides all the already mentioned powerhouses there are a few cards that make this deck boil over and become a volcano of green power. Of course I'm talking about Genesis Wave . As early as turn 4 or 5 you can be casting a gen wave with x=5 or more. This card absolutely blows the game to pieces. Upon cast most people will scoop and the unfortunate ones that don't have to watch all your ETB triggers and craziness unfold. There are very few non-permanent cards in the deck so Gen Wave will basically put the top x cards of your deck into play. The true king of the deck however is Paradox Engine . We all know that Paradox Engine and mana rocks is crazy powerful, but imagine a board full of elves that each produce G or GG or 15G. Paradox Engine makes this deck absolutely insane. There is one interaction that I love to pull off that essencialy make your deck your hand. Paradox Engine + Recycle and mana dorks on the field. Whenever you play any card, including lands, Recycle draws you a card. Paradox Engine keeps your mana flowing. In essence you get to play cards from the top of your deck until all you draw is lands. By the time that happens, your chances of having other card draw effects are very high.

Anyway, basically this deck vomits its contents onto the field extremely quickly then beats everyone's faces in.

Other notes: This deck is not really a cEDH deck but it feels like it sometimes. It's not completely optimized mostly due to budget constraints. I'd love to have Gaea's Cradle in there. There are some improvements I'd like to make that are relatively reasonable, like Triumph of the Hordes . Note that when I built the deck I already had most of the cards in it and I traded for the more expensive cards. I'm in college and I'm hella broke, but someday I will make some changes to it and make it even more brutal.

The reason there's no fast mana rocks is because this deck is G hungry. Cards like Sol Ring, Mana Vault, Mana Crypt, wont do hardly anything. We have 11 1 drops that all cost G and most of them produce mana in one way or another so there's no real use for them.
