Welcome to what has been the labour of my love for the past few months. Much of my time has been devoted to tweaking and testing this deck.

This is a casual elephant tribal deck that focuses around taxing your opponents and then swinging in with big creatures. I built this mainly to be fun to play, and I have tried to keep in flavour as much as possible with this deck.

Arbor Elf: a cheap 1 drop that allows us to start ramping as early as possible. Combo this with a turn two Greenbelt Rampager for extra value.

Selvala, Explorer Returned: provides both card draw and ramp for a relatively cheap casting cost. Though your opponents will also benefit from the card draw, this is not card advantage, as you both get to draw. Selvala is also a friend of elephants, as seen in Selvala's Charge.

Lifecrafter's Bestiary: due to the high amount of creatures in the deck, this allows us to manage what cards we draw and refill our hand.

Elephant Grass: the elephants' version of Ghostly Prison, this is better here as we mainly need protection in turns one to three, where our creatures are weaker and the deck hasn't had time to get off the ground. Don't be afraid to sacrifice this once you have a couple of creatures on the board.

Loxodon Gatekeeper: think Thalia but grey and with a trunk. This can be very useful by slowing down the opponent and preventing us from being killed by red aggro decks and the like.

Spelltithe Enforcer: this card is where I got the original idea for this deck, and really supports some of the other cards such as Mana Tithe.

Loxodon Mystic: this card can tap down any blockers that are giving us trouble, and can also stop creatures our opponent might have that we cannot block, such as flyers.

Mana Tithe: speaking of payoffs from the tax, manatithe allows us to take advantage of our opponents lack of mana available to them. People rarely expect a white/green deck to have counterspells, so catch them unawares with this spell.

Greenbelt Rampager: a good early drop that provides real board presence as soon as turn two. It also provides us with a cheap way to trigger Lifecrafter's Bestiary.

Loxodon Smiter: an amazing card, this provides some real punch to the deck, and enables you to really put pressure on your opponent. There is a reason why this card is played in so many decks, and the value and utility it provides is incredible.

Terastodon: rounding off our curve, Terastodon can deal with large threats or generate a large board presence that can quickly close down games.

Heroic Intervention: general protection for our creatures from damage and targeted removal.

Condemn: more protection against aggro decks and can also provide good defense against flying or unblockable creatures.

Loxodon Hierarch: provides a 4 point life swing when he hits the board, and provides more protection for our creatures in his second ability. He also comes with a solid power and toughness which keeps him out of Lightning Bolt range and lets us swing for damage.

I wanted to keep the land base very simple in order to keep this deck cheap and within budget. If you own fetchlands etc. I would recommend that you put them in the deck.
The sideboard is fairly simple, just some removal for flyers, as the deck sometimes struggles against them. It also has some artifact removal if you feel inclined to use it and are facing an artifact heavy deck. Terastodon can be swapped for Sandsteppe Mastodon in order to better suit the matchup, for instance against a deck with a lot of flyers.

I hope that you like my deck, as I have spent a lot of time on it. Any criticisms, comments or suggestions are welcome. If you want to suggest a card please could you also suggest the card that it would replace as well.

Updates Add

Switched out Sandsteppe Mastodon for Terastodon in the mainboard, as I have found it to be more reliable as a finisher.
