Elenda, the Dusk Rose is among us! EDH

Commander / EDH* WB (Orzhov)

Don-Juan-De-La-Pulzel

Elenda, the Dusk Rose is a fascinating creature that I saw after joining again Magic The Gathering after a ten year long break. Yes, it's quite a long time that I'm a MTG player. Way down, since Legends came out, I followed most sets and the only possible tools were Scry Magazine and, at least here in Italy, Oracolo. Otherwise, with little or none at all opportunity to have some insight from the net (the Dojo was still to come), we all had to brew our decks and fight our fight wherever we might have a chance to play. With more contents and netdecking everything felt a bit a shame for all older players, but, hey, after all a little bit insight helps all brewers out there. Back to Elenda, this creature of darkness, damned forever in her search for holiness and greatness. She has fantastic abilities, even if here stats look a bit undewhelming at first. Just watch her! a 1/1 creature that adds 1/1 counters whenever a creature dies. The perfect Aristocrats theme supporting Commander for a deck! You all know what Aristocrats are all about, so I won't bother you with more explanations. Other has done it better than me many dozen of times and even on youtube you get your fat ration of deckbuilding suggestions. This is just my variation, nothing so personal. EDHRec was useful, but then the deck developed itself. First it's more on the controlling side and there are not that much spot removal. Board wipes are at a minimum, but some are truly fun options like Only by Invitation, a lovely card from Innistrad Crimson Vow. Avoiding hexproof, shroud, indistructible clauses, protection from colors gives this card an edge over most sweepers. This is just the EDH multiplayer version and I plan to upload a 1v1 version of the deck. Of course suggestions are always welcome.
