Update #2 - Changes in Cards —Sept. 2, 2021
I changed some cards out in order for the deck to perform better.
Cards Cut and their Replacements:
- Autumn's Veil - Most of the removal in my playgroup comes in the form of Swords to Plowshares, Path to Exile, or other cheap white removal. Therefore, since it only targets blue or black spells, I'd like something that works a little better. It has been replaced with Orim's Chant. Veil of Summer will stay in due to the extra utility with being able to draw a card for one mana.
- Luminarch Ascension - I want the deck to be more prison-esque, and honestly most of the time I end up using my mana to play cheap enchantments or hold mana for protection spells like Silence or Heroic Intervention. It has been replaced with Meekstone.
- Setessan Champion - I don't particularly have that good of a reason for cutting her beyond she just hasn't done much for me. It has been replaced with On Thin Ice.
- Forest - With the addition of On Thin Ice, I need snow lands. All three have been replaced with Snow-Covered Forest.
- Plains - With the addition of On Thin Ice, I need snow lands. All three have been replaced with Snow-Covered Plains.
